3D Printing at MFL during COVID-19
You can upload your 3D files to Mr. Jason and the MFL staff. We will attempt to print them on one of the library’s working 3D printers, then contact you to schedule a time for you to come, pick up your printed object, and pay for it.
Due to the constant troubleshooting necessary when printing on our 3D printers and the current limited time for visiting the library, you may NOT come in and use the 3D printers directly.
Guidelines:
1. Content or objects that are illegal or harmful to minors.
2. Content or objects that may be construed as having intent to harm.

By submitting content or objects, the customer agrees to assume all responsibility for, and shall hold the Library harmless in, all matters related to patented, trademarked, or copyrighted materials. Looking to design a 3D object?
The library has a collection of books that can help you get started with learning how to design for 3D printing! Browse our catalog!
We recommend you create a free account with Tinkercad and complete the Lessons.
You can also download an .STL file of an object already created on Thingiverse or other similar websites.
Looking to get an estimate on print time and weight/cost for your print?
We recommend you download Makerbot Desktop and run a Print Preview to get a rough estimate of how long your print job will take, and how much it’ll weigh. Again, we charge $0.20/gram and ask print jobs to be less than 2 hours.
If you do not want to download Makerbot Desktop to get an estimate yourself, MFL staff can email you with an estimate & quote before we print your object(s).
