The Friends of the Middletown Free Library are fun, friendly residents of the community who value our library through  their membership, spare time and creative energy.

The Friends provide many of the “extras” that make your visit so  pleasant.  Over the past three years, the Friends have: remodeled the Children’s area with new carpeting, shelving and furniture; furnished new periodical shelving and lighting; purchased a new CD case; provided the cozy brown leather couch in the reading area; Sponsored Children’s programs.  Plus, most recently a big new shade was added to the Childrens Library window  so Miss Chris wouldn’t have to wear her sunglasses all day! The additions are funded by donations from The Friends Members and by the ongoing  fahbulously successful basement book sale.  With suggested donations of just 25 cents to $3.00, and an ever-changing stock of books, CDs, VHS and DVDs, The Friends Book Bin is the premiere source for used media in the region! So put some fun in your Monday nights,  come on over . . .join The Friends on the fourth Monday of every month at 7 p.m. in the Community Room.  Everyone is welcome!
The Friends of MFL are always looking for new members. Contact the library for membership information.
